is Lily Tree Therapy for Me?

Do you ever find yourself wanting to provide holistic care, but getting stuck when it comes to a client’s faith? Do you struggle to find ways to approach it ethically without compromising the care you provide? Do you feel uncomfortable with the topic because you’re afraid of saying the wrong thing or don’t know if it’s really that important in the therapy room?

Do you find yourself in a role as a Biblical Counselor or in serving in ministry, constantly talking to and caring for people, but wanting to know how to ask questions or get to the root of spiritual issues, to find out if there are physical and mental health issues intertwined?

Lily Tree Therapy is devoted to bridging the gap between faith and therapy for therapists and those serving in ministry alike. Through continuing education training, professional trainings, and speaking engagements Lily Tree Therapy highlights areas in which faith and therapy complement one another to provide truly holistic care for hurting people.

Therapists- Stop feeling stuck about how to incorporate a client’s faith into therapy. Learn additional skills and strategies to incorporate faith in a practical way and at the level a client is desiring.

Biblical Counselors and Ministry Leaders- Learn what sociology, psychology, and human behavior research has studied to gain more insight into the struggles impacting the people you care for and lead. Gain strategies for helping people open up, explore the way the spiritual is impacted by physical and mental health, and grow in your ability to love and care for your ministry well.

In-Person
Training

Learning skills that work for you and your clients

Courses for therapists blend clinical rigor with a biopsychosocial-spiritual lens, so you leave with tools that hold up in the room, not just in theory. Therapy courses are provided with continuing education credit for social workers, licensed mental health counselors, licensed professional counselors, and marriage and family counselors in the state of Georgia. Credit may be honored by other states- please see your state’s licensure requirements.

For ministry leaders and members, courses translate therapeutic concepts into language and practices you can actually use in counseling conversations, small groups, pastoral care, and everyday discipleship. You'll learn signs to recognize when someone in your care has a spiritual struggle being impacted by trauma, mental health, or addiction. You’ll learn how those wounds can shape the way a person experiences God, and how to offer support that is both spiritually grounded and psychologically informed. Become better equipped to care for your ministry well in your calling and identify when and how to partner with outside mental health care.
