“There is a place for both faith and mental health care to coexist, and that is where transformation and recovery can be found: in Jesus and therapy.”

Tabitha Yates, Jesus and Therapy: Bridging the Gap Between Faith and Mental Health

Conferences & Speaking

Sophia lives in Athens, Georgia, where she teaches and speaks to professionals, churches, and ministry communities across the state. Her work focuses on helping others understand the connection between faith, mental health, and relationships through a therapeutic lens. She speaks on topics including trauma and trauma-informed leadership, healthy boundaries, Biblical leadership, fear and anxiety, family dynamics, marriage and intimacy, and mental health within the church.

Through Lily Tree Therapy, Sophia shares her passion for the Lord by equipping others with practical, clinically informed tools that are thoughtfully integrated with Christian faith. She believes therapeutic concepts can strengthen the way we understand  God, ourselves, our relationship with God, our relationships with others, and the people we serve without compromising Biblical truth.
